Sales and Marketing Strategy Specialist, Teresa Caro, Addresses Marketing Executives on Creating Effective Marketing Campaigns

From a speech, Teresa Caro gives in-depth tips on creating a marketing plan to generate leads, nurture leads, and retain and educate customers.

Atlanta, GA, July 8, 2004—Teresa Caro, sales and marketing strategy specialist and founder of Caro Consulting, addresses senior marketing professionals and executives during a Webinar, hosted by Intellor Group, an event management services company that specializes in Web events. In "15 Steps to a Successful Web Event," Caro along with Richard Rist, president and chief executive officer of Intellor Group, Inc. and Brian Cicero, principle of Tactical Dimensions, share their knowledge of marketing plans, web events, and lead management. Highlights from Caro's presentation follow:

"If marketing, advertising, and sales is all done right it's supposed to generate revenue. Put it together with the right amount of cost and you have profit. Show that marketing generated this profit and we keep our jobs and maybe even receive that allusive bonus check."

"We all know there is a lot involved to achieve effective marketing—these five steps should help you get started in the right direction:"

  1. Define your goal
  2. Determine a timeframe
  3. Identify components
  4. Determine how you plan to track the results
  5. Test, test, and more testing
For all 15 steps you can view the Webinar at

"The most effective sales and marketing strategy looks at lead generation from a long-term perspective. It is impossible to cost effectively target only prospects that are ready to buy. In fact, to exclude the others eliminates the potential for future sales and increases cost per lead. An effective long-term sales and marketing strategy casts a wide net in the right target market; segments the prospects into hot, warm, and cold leads; very quickly has sales address the needs of the hot leads; and marketing nurtures the others throughout the buy-cycle."

"Once you implement your marketing plan, you find your company is listed at the top of the top search engines; its Webinar audience is abundant; and the ad campaign is award winning. It's a success story, right? Many felt this way in the late 90's, but when the dot-com bubble burst which department was hit the hardest by cutbacks? The marketing department. Why? Because, there was no direct connection between advertising dollars spent and sales generated."

"With technology you can fix this equation. You need to implement a solution that will track your campaign from the beginning to end. Here's a link to an article for more detailed information on tracking:"
